Ayres Riding, Etc.
Meet the horses
Our horses are suited for a variety of lessons and students. One of the reasons our students have been able to experience an entire range of horsemanship activities is because we have more than just lesson horses. Our students learn more than riding. They learn extensively about tack and all horse-related equipment, foals and breeding, imprinting newborns, halter breaking, and desensitization. We have a very hands-on approach, but always remember safety first.
Lesson Horse. She is a 22-year-old Red Dun American Quarter Horse mare. Sage is a super star horse for kids and adults alike. She has won ribbons and medals with students of all ages from 5 to 50! She is the perfect lesson and trail horse.
Hollywood Dun Smoke aka "Sonny"
Sonny is a 7-year-old gelding and grandson of Hollywood Dun It. Sonny is part of the Malone Ranch experience having been raised and spoiled by all the attention from riding students over the years. Horses just don't get any better than Sonny!
Spice It Up Doc aka "Spice"
Spice is a 14-year-old Sorrel American Quarter Horse mare. Spice was born at Malone Ranch. She is well known for being a perfect lesson horse for our intermediate students. She may be a red head but gets along with everyone just fine.
Sheza Lil Whiskey Girl aka "Cinder"
"So Far .... So Good!"
Smokin Mino aka "Smokie"
Instructor Horse. "Smoke", as she is known by most students, is an 13-year-old Buckskin American Quarter Horse mare. Smoke was born and raised right here at Malone Ranch where lessons take place. She is a student favorite and select students have even had the opportunity to ride her when they have achieved a more experienced level of riding. Smoke is Debbie's "baby." Debbie has taken Smoke to various shows and competitive trail riding events with much success. Smoke is also her choice for social trail rides taken throughout the year.
